Kisses: How did you meet?
T&J: I had just started as a nurse at Memorial Health University Medical Center and knew my 10-year old Honda was in need of a new radio. I found Audio Link in the phone book and that just so happened to be John's business! He wrote his name and number on the bottom of my receipt and we went out a few weeks later. I got a new radio and met the love of my life! We've been together ever since.
Kisses: How did he propose?
T&J: John had been planning for weeks! We were on our way to a trip in the North Georgia Mountains and had planned to stop at my parents on the way. To my surprise, John stopped the car on the way at mile marker 100, came around to my side, got down on one knee and proposed. I cried and of course said yes! We then made our way to my parent's house and when we arrived, the pond in front of their house was glowing with lights, rose petals were floating in the pond and music was playing. We danced in the moonlight and celebrated with everyone – it was a magical time that I will never forget.
Kisses: Why did you choose Savannah for your wedding?
T&J: We both love how Savannah is so traditional, historic and romantic! John and I both love the squares downtown with the beautiful trees and open parks – it is unlike any other place in the world.
Kisses: List your top three favorite things about your wedding day, bride and groom answer separately.
Tammy: 1 – My dress! I called Kathi at The Gingerbread House Bridal and told her what I was looking for. She had already pulled a dress when I arrived and I absolutely loved it! 2 – The flowers! John Glosson, our florist, shared my vision and his creations were truly works of art that were amazing! 3 – The carriage! After the wedding ceremony we rode in a horse-drawn carriage - a white horse no less – and had some time just "us" while the guests were arriving at the reception. The time we had was so perfect as we rode through the parks and squares of Savannah and just enjoyed each other.
John: 1 – My Bride! I loved seeing Tammy for the first time, she was so beautiful. 2 – The carriage! The ceremony was done and we had a few moments to share together. It was the first time we were able to really hang out and talk to each other! 3 – The limo! We had an amazing wedding and the reception was so much fun. Our guests sent us away with sparklers and cheers and then we got in the limo on our way to Jacksonville, Florida where we would fly to Antigua the next day. All the stress was gone and we even had a basket of food packed for us! It was the only time we ate the whole night – it as just so good!
With so many details and so much planning, you never know what you'll remember most but one thing is for sure, at the end of the day, the stress goes away, any problems are forgotten and you have your one true love there with you as you start your lives together.
Happy Planning to all and Happy 1st Anniversary Tammy and John! We at Kisses wish you many, many more!
Kisses for now!
